My Thai Princess, Nong Ja.

Nong Ja Thailand
My little Thai princess and I were off swimming again the other weekend.
Nong Ja Thailand
Ja absolutely loves the water and it is so hard to get her out. She has no fear which is a worry. When we are in the deep pool she tells me to go away. “I can do myself Jay!” she says.

I am always hovering close by but in such a short time she has really improved her swimming. She now kicks her legs and uses her arms and dog paddles well. The only problem that has come from this is her asking, “can we go swimming” every day.

The Sunee Hotel pool is great in the mornings as there isn’t a soul. Only once has there been other people there. The other times we have had the pool to ourselves. For 50 baht it is so cheap as you use one of their huge towels and after we have a beautiful hot shower and Ja washes her hair herself and then gets straight onto the hair dryer.

Another thing we like to do is go to the park early in the mornings as this is also when there are hardly any people. Nong Bua Park is close to home and a great spot for Ja to ride her bike. This graffiti has been on the wall for years leading in from the back way of the park.

Ja cracks me up at times. She starts pulling faces and talking to her imaginary friends or dolls.

This picture above was funny. We were just going along when Ja said, “Jay take a picture of me between the trees.” No idea why this popped into her head but I did as I was told.

It is so relaxing at the park early in the mornings.

We buy fresh bread from the 7eleven, across the road from the entrance to the park. We eat some of it but it is for the fish. There are thousands of fish in the lake, some are huge. In the evenings they are in huge schools feeding but mornings you hardly see them. We get a few smaller ones only in the mornings.

The kids’ playground at the park is pathetic and dangerous. The sand is filthy and never cleaned or refilled. There is concrete sticking out from the bases of the swings and slides. But shouldn’t complain and be happy that there is one.
Nong Ja Thailand
This slide is scary for me as it is steep and I have seen more than a few kids whack their heads.

Ja a little while back wouldn’t go on the slide but now she seems to love it even though she looks terrified at times.

And trying to get her to leave the park and go home for breakfast becomes a battle. But it does work up a good appetite and she loves her poached eggs with sausages, fried tomato and toast.
