Collingwood V's West Coast AFL Finals. My Mate is Dreaming!

Today in Melbourne, Australia the Australian Football League football finals are on. Aussie rules is the best game ever invented, I am biased but don’t care.

My team is The Mighty Collingwood Football Club, The Pies have a huge membership base and I have been a lifetime supporter since a little ankle biter.

Well today the east V’s the west of Australia. Collingwood play The West Coast Wedgies. A team from the west coast of Australia.

My good mate is a Wedgie supporter and ever since last weekend he has been crowing. Last weekend my team Collingwood was beaten by 96 points, an absolute flogging and The West Wedgies won by 95 points. So there was a massive 191 points difference.

So this week my Wedgie mate had been crowing, scratching the ground, and walking around with the chest stuck out for sure. He even mentioned a wager of some kind. I was keen if it be money, alcohol, a nudie run, walking around in a skirt, anything as long as there is an interest.

Well the lines of communications have gone cold. Apparently he is still keen as he is hosting his brother to watch the match and he said,
“Promised my brother a gourmet lunch for when he comes over to watch the Wedgies smash The Mighty Pies.”
(I may have edited the team names :)

Well in less than a couple of hours the game will start and a few hours after that we will know who are the pretenders and who are the real deal.

I am supremely confident and I am nearly ready to have another tattoo of my team added to my flesh to join the others that adorn my body.

Hang on, that is it. I challenge my mate to a bet. The loser will pay for the tattoo for the winner. I will go over now and get it started, nothing like a head-start.

I am that confident.

Boy you must have been having kittens during that game mate! You got a real good scare and if it wasn't for missing two sitters with 10 minutes to go we would have upset the pies!
Considering that the betting was at $1.20 for your team and $5 for my team then you should have been confident as you were the raging favourites. Just imagine the fall out if we had beaten you across the line. Still, we live to fight another day and I can think of nothing better then to see you mob on Grand Final day.
As for a tattoo? Only people with short memories need them. I can remember all the premierships the Eagles have won in my life time. 1992, 1994 and 2006. How many have the pies one in your lifetime? Remembering of course that you are almost 10 years older then me. What's that you say? Only 1990 and 2010? Just two yet you still need to ink them onto your skin so you can remember!!
Hope you are having a good day mate, did you watch the Wallabies kick some Italian butt? Please make sure you remind Franco of the score next time you see him.
