The water is staying pretty well put at the moment. It hasn’t risen or fallen over the last few hours. The rain is still steadily falling, and hasn’t stopped for a minute for the last 12 hours.

My house is still sitting prettily surrounded by water.

This is looking up my street to where all the water comes from.

This is looking down my street and where all the water is running to.

The drains are full, so the water runs into vacant land and the other low lying areas. All the houses over in this area will be flooded. They will have water through their living areas.

This is vacant land right across from my house, there is a large open drain that runs all the way along here but is full of absolute shit and rubbish. This may clean it out a little, wash all the crap away.
The rain has eased a little but hasn’t stopped. I am meant to be teaching at 1pm at the school. It looks like I will be swimming as I cannot get my motorbike out and Noot and Ja are in the village and it would be too deep for the car anyway.

Wow Brunty, our thoughts and prayers are with you rot the water to go down and no damage to you house , hope the rabbitts are ok too. and glad the girls are safe and dry , me I'm feeling a lot better and Ciejay is busy trying to fatten me back up , maybe you need to stay home from school and take care of first things first . friends Malcolm and Ciejay
The flood looks bad! Do take care!
Great photos. I read rain/flooding was coming to the north, much needed I believe? I hope it doesn't do too much damage.
unbelievable! i didn't realize when i was there, that your house is so low. i've been in those Thailand rains that don't give up and i've experienced some flooding in the Khonkaen area before. i hope you don't end up with a fish pond for a living room, Brunty!
Wow! That is an incredible amount of water on the ground...it looks like your street is a canal.
Do you think school will be in session if the rain continues? It will be difficult to travel by road with the water level so high...
Neat pictures!
Hi malcolm, the rain stopped and it all drained in a few hours thankfully. Some neighbours weren't so lucky and they had water all through their places.
Speaking to some Thais it was the highest they had seen the water in many many years. One teacher from the school was unlucky and his house flooded and now has damaged furniture and such and also his car had a foot of water through it.
I went to the school, I walked out and my Thai brother in law gave me a ride but no students turned up of course.
So I am very lucky indeed.
Bubbs thanks a lot and I did take care.
Snap, I had my own private lake on my door step for half a day. People were cathing fish in the street.
MJ, I am not really that low luckily but all the other streets drain off into my street, and the huge concrete barriers act as a barrier and ends up creating a river.
Bangkok also is terrible for flooding, even a little rain causes havok there. No fish pond thankfully MJ.
Newy, if I had a kayak I could have gone for a nice paddle. There were 3 classes scheduled. No one from my class turned up. Another class only one student turned up and the other two students arrived and left.
Thanks for dropping by all.
