Thai Baby Rabbits and a Young Photographer, Isaan Thailand.

The other week I wrote about our rabbit having babies. How time flies as that was two weeks ago already. The rabbits grow really fast and in a week they already have plenty of fur and you can see traces of their colours.
Thai Baby Rabbits
My amazing niece Nong Ja, she loves them. As soon as I walk in the door after school we have to check on the babies, make sure they are all okay. Each day we get them out of their nesting box and check them over. Ja gets a little over excited when picking them up and at times screaming or laughing hysterically.

The rabbits will be two weeks old tomorrow, they have ventured out of their nesting box at times, but this is rare as they seem happy to be warm and sleeping. If one does get out Ja who often walks into the rabbits room comes screaming into my room to alert me of the escapee.

Ja also likes to think she is a photographer. She often gets my old Samsung Digimax 430, which now is cheap as chips and back when I bought it, it wasn’t too bad either at a few hundred dollars if I remember correctly. I bought it at Singapore airport on the way to Thailand 6 years ago. Not my smartest buy, but it did the job but also ate and still eats batteries.

Ja puts the lanyard around her neck and then pretends to shoot away. She has taken pictures when we are out and about and is quite a budding photographer. She has still managed to drop the camera a few times, often to the horror of onlookers but I just smile as it is Ben and Noot’s camera now.

Now my amazing girl, actually both my amazing girls, Miss Noot and Ja are unwell. Miss Noot has been feeling off for three days or so. A sore throat, hot and cold and a headache, then Ja started getting a fever yesterday in patches and developed a little cough that has now become more prominent.

She vomited once last night and also tonight, this made her very upset, for a few minutes. Tonight I was tapping away at the computer and Ja was on the bed watching a cartoon when she broke into a coughing fit. I jumped up and sat her up and then headed to the bathroom.

We didn’t make it, a huge projectile vomit, which went a good five metres poured from her mouth and all over the floor. She was sick a few more times while in the bathroom, cleaned her up and then she had more medicine tonight and she is now happily asleep with Noot. No coughing and hope it stays that way, touch wood!

Even though Ja isn’t feeling 100% she has been such a good kid, hardly a whimper or complaint but has been a little more clingy wanting to sit on your knee and be cuddled more which I am happy to do. She has been getting cool towels across her forehead when hot, when she wants the towel refreshed she lets you know loudly.

Tomorrow they have an early start as it is Mother’s Day here in Thailand. Noot will go to the village and pay respect to her mother and then eat happily most of the day. I cannot go as I have some plans after lunch. Have to help a mate with his new computer and also return to Legacy Gym to speak to the MMA trainer and also Ole “Iron Fist” Laursen, the owner and current Martial Combat Superfight Champion.

That is about it from Isaan Style in Thailand, Ubon Ratchathani at the moment. I am looking forward to my 4 day weekend as I really need it. My sanity has been tested of late, well this happens a lot but recently more than usual.

We really enjoyed popping around the other day with the kids to see the little breeders. The kids loved em!
Hope the girls get better soon.
