More Painting in Isaan Thailand.

I finally got Miss Noot and Nong Ja to leave for a few days. I know this doesn’t sound nice, having my girlfriend and niece leave the house for a few days, but I had painting to finish and you just cannot do this with a 16 month old girl running wild and a Thai girl stuck to the sofa watching Thai TV.
The New Lounge Room
Today I was up late, around 9am and then got straight into it. I stared shifting the furniture to access the walls. Then the fun part started, dry scrub the walls to remove any loose dust. I wasn’t going to wash the walls and dry them; I am not that serious about the painting. Then brush over them with a straw broom.

Then the part that takes up the most time, for me anyway. I started taping in all the door frames, window frames and also the trim as well. Then cutting in and painting out all the corners. I do this first, then just grab the roller and time flies then.

Tomorrow I have to paint all the trims, hopefully this won’t take too long and by mid afternoon I will be able to move all the furniture back into place. I will keep Miss Noot and Nong Ja away for a few more days while the room airs.

I am hoping to have the house completed by this weekend and then Miss Noot and Maybe Nong Ja, and maybe Benjawan will head off for a week on holiday. I have put forward many ideas to the girls, but the feedback hasn’t been forthcoming.

I am sure they would be happy to spend another week out in their grandfather’s village. I will wait for a few more days and then start applying pressure on some decisions.

Apart from that there isn’t much more to report.
