Nong Ja, The Most Beautiful Thai Girl.

Nong Ja, Miss Noot and Ben
These are my three girls at the park; they are doing what a lot of Thai girls like to do, that being eating.
Nong Ja, Miss Noot and Ben
Nong Ja was eating a rare treat, a disgusting processed hotdog, but she was loving it.
Nong Ja with Hotdog
Nong Ja gets to have a hotdog every now and then, I am not a fan of processed meats for kids. She does enjoy them surprisingly. What kid doesn’t like processed meats full of god knows what.
Nong Ja with Hotdog
We give her a little bit of the hotdog and the rest disappears, this could be hidden or eaten by one of us.
Nong Ja Drink Water
When Nong Ja is thirsty, she simply takes a drink out of the water bottle. She has been drinking through a straw for a while now. She has her own cup at home that a straw fits snugly in. She has her milk in that through the day but still a bottle at night before bed.
Nong Ja
Look I am bias and blind but isn’t she beautiful.
Nong Ja and Fruit Stick
We then got her on her more healthy, well maybe a little more healthy fruit sticks. They are made locally and come in a few flavours, Ja likes banana and pineapple ones.
Nong Ja and Fruit Stick
Ja happily sat on the table top watching the world go by. Another hard day for a one year old living in Thailand.

Brunty, you're right , she is a cute little girl , and she is very lucky little girl to have Uncle Brunty to help provide and take care of her , most little girls in Thailand, in the small villages have to learn how to be survivors on their own . You're a good man Brunty. Grand-pa Malcolm

Malcom, I am lucky I have had a great afternoon with Ja anad she is now alseep in the bed while I tap away at the computer.

It is sad that many village girls don't get a chance at a future and are virtually married off young or expected to raise other family members when they are just kids themselves.

I am trying to be a better man every day.

I am sure that Pooie is being looked after well by Grandpa Malcom

Yep, she is beautiful. So she's just one year old now? My daughter is almost 6 months - I can't wait to feed her snacks in the park, too.

Stefan she is 14 months old, nearly 15 months. It is really good when they get active and can walk, it keeps you a lot more active but the interaction is priceless.

Each day as soon as I get home from school I have to take Ja outside in the garden to look at the pappayas and chilis and such.

She points at every thing and makes funny noises and I am looking forward to when she starts saying the words for them which are repeated to her now so many times.

Look forward to reading about your fun times.

Yes she is! She's gorgeous!

Kids have an unerring sense of what food is good and what is rubbish... and invariably they choose the rubbish!

Meat-free hot dogs, luk Chiin, crisps, Pepsi, fried chicken skin and such things are poison.

For me and my little boy, it's a constant war and my Thai family think I'm totally mad.

I'd like to protect him from almost inevitable heart disease and diabetes but they don't seem to be too bothered.

Thus I am the one that's jai dam!

Andrew, Jai Dum, yes I get that a lot. The Thai family seem to think that a kid can eat anything, like they did when they were kids growing up.

I like you get funny looks when I grab something out of Ja's hand or mouth. The odd 'He's crazy' and so forth but I like you are thinking of her insides in 15 years time.

Thanks for dropping by mate
