Beijing Acrobatics Fantasy, Ubon Ratchathani Thailand.

Beijing Acrobatics Fantasy Ubon Thailand
At my school Assumption College there is a show being put on this coming Saturday. It is called Beijing Acrobatics Fantasy; I had seen banners and posters about Ubon Ratchathani over the past week but had no idea it was going to be at Assumption school.
As for the show I thought I would see if I could find any reviews, I could find plenty of information on the tour the group is doing of Thailand but cannot find any reviews on the actual show.

This is the website all the websites point to for information, it is Thai Ticket Major, and if you click on the link you can read this about the show.

A fantasy acrobatic group from Beijing is ready to perform to you a special contemporary show that involves a crew of 40 elastic Chinese lives. One of the most famous and a most beautiful and unique art of its kind, the Beijing Acrobatics Fantasy will get you thrilled and excited and fulfill you with the aura of China, the country of origin of Acrobatics. Don’t miss!!!

How could you not go? They are performing one day only and 2 shows in Bangkok on the Sunday the 30th of August 2009. Tickets start at 300 Baht up to 1,500 Baht for stage front seats. Go to Thai Ticket Major if you want to go in Bangkok.

Now, if you are near Ubon Ratchathani you can get these front stage seats a lot cheaper. The tickets start at a giveaway 200 Baht for at the back and 500 Baht for stage front, only 500 Baht. An absolute bargain, right!
Assumption Sport Oval
Just going by the pictures, it seems like a good size production and will need a rather large stage. The show is meant to be taking place here, on our school oval. The oval is looking a little worse for wear at the moment, nothing a good mow won’t fix.

The worrying thing is it is pretty wet underfoot, we have had a lot of rain of late and the oval is soft. How they will get trucks on and off the oval will be something I am looking forward to seeing.

It will be outside, unless they have a huge big top style tent. And being the rainy season it is a little unpredictable if we will get one of or monsoonal downpours. I am actually looking forward to the coming days and watching this all unfold.

There are two shows being held in Ubon Ratchathani on the 22nd, one at 3.30pm and then at 7pm. I do know there are plenty of seats available at the moment and if anyone is interested in a ticket, drop me a line and I will arrange for seats to be booked for you.

I will be going, it isn’t often we have something like this fly into our sleepy town. I will offer a very truthful review of the show after; I am not one to hold back my thoughts.
Table Tennis King
Oblivious to all of the huge plans going on around them were these students enjoying a game of table tennis. The king of the table was on a roll.
Table Tennis Game
The next challenger stepped up to the table and served, it was returned quickly.
Table Tennis Game
It was very competitive and the next challenger took on the king. I thought he had the king beat with a wide slicing shot.

But the king of the table returned it well, then the challenger hit the ball into the wooden net. He was still king of the table.

Brunty.
