Beijing Acrobatics Fantasy Teaser, Ubon Ratchathani Thailand

The start of the cage
At our school, they were hosting a show called Beijing Acrobatics Fantasy. 2 Days before the show was to take place there was just a pole in the ground and some wires late in the afternoon.
Nearly finished the cage
The next morning The Cage of Death was up and standing.
Soldiers, chairs and metal sheets
With a day to go before the show a truck turned up early in the morning with some soldiers and they had aluminum sheets that were going to be laid across the sports field.
Working on the cage
More work started on the cage of death, the pole needed to be removed.
Flooring for seating
The flooring for the seating was slowly taking shape; the oval was a little wet and soft underfoot.
Last minute adjustments
The cage of death had had the pole removed and now the last few bolts were being tightened.
Happy Thai Students
They were under a little bit of pressure as they had promised a free show for the students. They were in good spirits while they were waiting.
Thai Students Ready for a free show
The students had surrounded the cage, the suspense was killing many, the air was so thick, and you could cut it with a knife.
Motorbike Riders
But first they met the death defying riders.
Levelling the cage
Soon a rider was whizzing around in the cage. Some extra hands leveled the cage as it wobbled about with some plywood.
The Cage of Death in Action
Soon the rider was circling high in the cage and this was bringing sighs, arghs and oohs from the students.

The he went vertical; this was applauded by the students. How can gravity be defied like this?
The Cage of Death in Action
Then another rider joined him and soon the two of them were flying about the cage of death.
The Cage of Death in Action
The two riders seemed to come within millimetres of each other as they crossed each others paths in the cage.

There was still no stage to be seen. The floor wasn’t close to being finished and I was really wondering how in hell they were going to complete this all for the first show at 3.30pm the following day.

P.S
I have seen the show and will write a review of what I thought of it. I will not post any pictures of the show, yet. Purely because they have a few shows to go and I don’t want to spoil anything for the people have bought or thinking about buying tickets for shows in Bangkok, Nakon Ratchasima. This will give me time to go through the 300 odd pictures and then post them in parts as the show was presented to us.
