Songkran Water Festival Day 2, Isaan Thailand.

Day 2 of Songkran 2009, I was the designated driver for the day. I was feeling a little under the weather, like I was getting the flu. We started off by stopping at the ice shop near my house. A couple of solid ice blocks were purchased and dropped into the containers.

Here girls on a motorbike are already getting special attention by some boys.

This lovely man/girl stopped and ran through a number of poses. He or she quickly ran off when the ice cold water hit him/her.

This was a truck full of friends who just realised that we were behind them and the culprits of the very cool water.

Our friends copped a huge soaking; this was in front of a friend’s house/business.

This girl was looking for the next victims to wet.

Keith was having a great time and was off the truck again to wet people.

We needed water and joined the line up of trucks waiting to be filled.

It is also a good time to have something to eat.

And here is the gang returning from a short walk. You need to stretch the legs every so often.

This is 4 of our girl crew, they were pretty happy.

Now I was the driver but I got to take pictures as the traffic is very slow. Here some lovely girls pose for me.

Some red shirt supporters were in a jeep flying a flag.

Traffic was bumper to bumper and just crawling at times.

And a beautiful girl in a mask, she was a girl, I think!

This really sexy girl was taking a stroll on the sidewalk.

There were more happy girls posing for me.

And then more girls, there were just so many and it was hard to choose where to point the camera.

Then we had an accident, I ran someone over, not really. This guy walked out and laid in front of the car.

In places there are huge street parties taking place and the dance floor is the road.

I was pretty speechless with this man; he outdid our effort of dressing up as girls.

And here is a little pink truck full of more girls.

They also wanted to strike a pose.

This was the best looking girl of the day, what a body she had.

Two small girls are waiting for the next people to wet.

A mother with her daughter in front of her, navigate the traffic and get soaked doing so. The young girl had a container to catch water and throw back at people.

Here is a tiny little fellow who seemed to be really enjoying himself.

And I have to leave you with more girls striking a pose for me.
