The other morning traffic was whizzing past our school as per usual.

If you stand out the front of the school any morning you will see an array of dangerous maneuvers being performed. You wouldn’t be able to count the near misses on your hands and feet each day.

Our traffic policeman was there doing his job, that is stopping traffic or making them merge into the other lane along the main road so cars can exit the school who have dropped their children to school.

This wasn’t any normal school day, if a normal day is possible here in Thailand. There were some flowers and toys on offer outside the school gates.

Even inside there were toys available for the students to buy.

There were plenty of balloons to be seen as well.

There were congratulations all round.

There were bunches of beautiful roses as well. What was happening you ask?

It was all for one of these fury red folders.

It was Graduation Day for year 12 students. It’s the day that they finally put their high school years behind them, and move on to other things.
The students had started to arrive and were putting their graduation gowns on. I hadn’t noticed previous years but students don’t wear a cap. I will have to have the school look into this as it would be a little money spinner. They looked very dazzling in our school colours.
There will be more pictures of the day coming soon as soon as time permits for me to process the pictures into jpeg format. So until then you will have to wait.
I know it is killing you.
Brunty.

In fact your photos (and stories) are much appreciated. I happen to visit my in-laws once or twice a year in the Ubon region, but the rest of the year we live in Europe. So a slice of Isan life is welcome.
HI Fred, I was being a little sarcastic, but thanks for the kind words and I am glad that you can see a little of Isaan where your are in Europe.
Hope your next trip out goes well my friend.
Those are wonderful flowers.I remember my graduation, that was my happiest moment in life.To finish my study.
