Assumption Family Night 2009, Isaan Thailand.

Last week we had our Family Night at the school. I thought there were 200 odd tables but I was wrong there were 389 tables. There were eight seats to a table or 3,200 Baht per table. So that works out at over 1,200,000 Thai Baht. There are expenses of course but wow. Not bad for one night.

The night kicked off with the littlies doing their thing. There costumes were amazing as always.

So the kindergarten kids shook and danced on the huge stage.

The sea of people enjoyed the food as the show was going on.

On the edge of the main stage are two smaller stages for pictures to be taken. As you can see sponsors had been sought to advertise.

Then primary one, the students were ready to do their show. A few quick pictures before the music started.

This show was organized by the Filipino teachers. It was a titled TIME. The small signs read Burn, kill, die, heal, weep, laugh, love, hate, war and peace. This show was just so, so different from anything else ever done on this night. I think it was actually trying to make a point. It reminds me of a song.

These are middle primary school girls.

After the younger shows were over it was opening ceremony time. We had a distinguished guest from Bangkok, I believe. He was a foreigner and spoke Thai really well. I have no idea what company or whatever organization he was from. I should ask someone.

Our important guest then hit the large gong to officially open Assumption Family Night.

Then there was a surprise! Confetti was shot into the air. The little kids went crazy trying to catch it.

And the biggest surprise was this; fireworks lit the night sky. Well maybe around ten were shot into the sky in no order. This then meant the night was to continue and that the older students would soon be gracing the stage.
