At our New Year Festival here in sleepy Isaan, there are games to play. Bingo is very popular. You get three cards for 20 Baht and can win a really huge doll.
This is hard, really hard. This guy works the stall and is commenting while standing the bottle up.

This is a lucky number game. You get to choose seven bits of paper for 20 Baht and then you open them to reveal your number and the prize you have won.
This is another lucky dip for kids. You pick the balls out of the water and they have numbers on them.
All along this street are games. It was pretty crowded with people handing over their hard earned money.
This is by far the most popular game. You get seven darts and have to pop seven balloons to win a doll of your choice. All for 20 baht.

Here Noot is trying her luck at Bingo. We didn’t have any luck this night.
A shooting game, hit the small red targets to win the prize. It didn’t look easy as the boys weren’t having any luck at all.
Here the girls are with their prizes. We won two prizes. I played pop the balloons 5 times for two wins, so 100 Baht. Miss Noot tried 4 times with no luck. Noot’s friend, Dum played many times and won her pillow on her last go before we left. Maybe she spent 200 Baht. The thing is she never gave up.
