Miss Noot, Friends and Teacher, Road Trip Thailand.

My amazing other half had travelled to Khon Kaen on Thursday to attend a seminar at the university there. Noot and three fellow students accompanied their Japanese teacher.
Miss Noot
Miss Noot is standing at the Osaka University display. There was plenty of information on studying in Japan at different universities.
Ajarn Fumiko and Noot
This is Noot’s teacher, Miss Fumiko. Noot cannot say enough about how good she is. Noot really enjoys studying Japanese. I think she was very happy to be chosen for an all expenses paid trip with her.
Meow, Noon, and Cat
Her three friends were Meow, Noon and Cat.
Noon and Japanese sweet
Noon’s sitting in an auditorium with a Japanese dessert.
Noon and Cat in garden
Noon and Cat in a small garden outside 7 Eleven.
Meow, Noot and Noon on a Song Taew
The girls on a Song Taew going back to their rooms.
Dinner time
The girls and Khon Kaen University students at dinner.

Meow and Orchid Man
Meow posed with an elderly man who sold orchids on the university’s grounds.
Noot and Noon
More posing in flowers.
Noot and Orchid Boy
Noot and a young boy who was working at the orchid shop. Maybe the man’s grandchild.
Orchids
Beautiful orchids.
Noot and a sea of flowers
And to finish off, Noot and more flowers.

The girls did attend presentations on Japan and the Ambassador from Japan attended and gave a speech as did the chancellors of well known Japanese universities. Noot did take pictures of this but the quality was terrible. She was too far away and used the zoom. She was too shy to walk to the front and take photos. I have to work on that with her.

There were traditional Japanese shows, food and also lots of information on Japan. Also there was information on scholarships and applying for them. I told Noot she should try but she said “no.” Apparently grade scores to attain such a scholarship were too high for her.

Noot couldn’t believe the size of the university, that it was virtually a community with shops, hospital, dentist, taxi system and so forth. Also having a 7 Eleven on site was crazy to her. She talked about this for ages. I tried to explain many universities are like this abroad. You don’t need to leave the campus and everything is there.

So that was Miss Noot’s trip, sadly too quick. She didn’t get to see much of Khon Kaen but we might be travelling around there during the holidays and we can check things out better then.

Brunty, I'm curious to know how you met your other half.

Jon, I have written about that before, somewhere.

I met her at a small garden restaraunt she was working in near my old Mansion I was living in.

When I first started teaching, I was virtualy living at the school and teaching privtely after school.

By the time I would be returning to my room I would stop at the restaurant and have something to eat or get take away.

Noot was a waitress there and studying daytime. After a few months we started talking and then I helped her with her work. It just went from there.

Dear Brunty

I read Miss Noot did not want to apply any scholarship for Japan.
What is your future plan? Do you want an transcontinental marriage (Australia-Thailand)?

Best regards!

At the moment it will be between Australia and Thailand. I am looking into some things in Taiwan and Korea.

Noot finishes her Degree early next year and then we will make a decision on where and what we will exactly do.
