Late nights and good food, Thailand.

I haven’t been doing a lot of late, all work and no play makes me a boring boy. I have been busy on the weekends teaching private classes and I am also busy creating a new website.

I did a basic course in html a long time ago and used to play around creating small web pages. About the last 6 months I got pretty serious and got into the html codes and how to design a website from scratch. I really enjoyed it. I now know most of the codes or tags that are used off by heart. What used to look like some jumbled mixed up writing now makes sense.

Most nights I have been busy making linking pages to the main or homepage that I designed. I still make small adjustments to it when I see something I like on another website. The website now has about 35 pages and I will be uploading to the WWW in the next few months when I think it is good enough to be uploaded.

I will often be sitting at the computer working away happily and I look at the clock and its midnight or 1am. I just get carried away at times and forget about getting sleep. The last few days I have eased off a bit and will take my time. I have set a goal of uploading the site by Christmas; it will be my Christmas present.

Apart from that I have been playing with my new camera the Canon EOS 400D and also my laptop. I have so much to learn with the camera and I am really looking to getting out in a few weeks when we have a 4 day holiday and taking hundreds of pictures, just trying different things.

I have been eating really well lately, Noot my lovely girl has been cooking up a storm and here are some pictures of a few of the dishes that she has created of late.

This picture you can see the stream of oyster sauce falling onto the vegetables that are sizzling away.

A really yummy soup.
Chicken
A chicken dish with a little kick, a bitter sauce with chilli.
Hot Basil
This is called Phak Kapow or know as hot basil. It really adds some flavour.
Delicious
Absolutely mouth watering this was.
My fish
And these are some of my fish, they have a good life and are well looked after.

So that’s about it here at the moment. There’s nothing else really to report. The Lenten Candle Festival is coming up in three weeks; it’s our biggest tourist attraction here in Isaan. I am looking forward to wandering around and snapping away.

A married man and a whale, Thailand.

Sorry, I had to post this. Now you might find this hard to believe, but a woman, a Thai woman who had advertised her charms on the internet had lied about them. Yes! I am shocked that she would lie about how she looked as well, do people really do that?

Now a stupid married Thai man, Thai men cheating on their spouses is a very common thing was enticed into meeting the lady whose add said had said light complexion, big breasts and needing help.

Now this is a must in Thailand, “light complexion”. Thai men like their women looking pasty white, it’s sickening. “Big breasts” well this is just a non event, I hardly ever see a Thai girl with fake breasts, only the real slappers in Bangkok and Pattaya get breast enlargements. “Needing help” well that is a common expression from young Thai girls; they want to be a Mia Noi or minor wife and be looked after by a sugar daddy.

So this cretin gets the girl’s address and goes to her condominium, when a girl opens the door he asks for the girl with the light complexion, big breasts and needs help. The girl smiles at him and says “That’s me.”

Well what he can see is what is known as a “buffalo or Chang” meaning a buffalo or elephant. This girl was 100 kgs, for some reason instead or running right then he enters the room. He quickly decided to leave but the whale blocked his exit and refused to let him leave, she threatened him with involving gangsters and demanded he had sex with her.

The man agreed and pretended he was going to pay, when the large lady moved from the door he tried to run, a scuffle ensured and he managed to escape at the cost of losing his mobile phone.

Miss large then calls him and uses good old fashioned blackmail, “I will tell your wife” unless he handed over 500 Baht in exchange for the phone. He agreed but then went to police who accompanied him to the address where she was arrested.

The Criminal Court yesterday sentenced her, to an 11-month suspended jail term and fined her 8,000 baht. The court reduced the sentence from one year and 10 months in jail and a 16,000-baht fine because she confessed.

I had a good laugh from this, sorry I have a little brain and small things entertain me, I hope someone else finds it amusing.

P.S. To readers especially women I am just poking some fun, the girl is 100kg it isn't morbidly obese. Here in Thailand you are over weight if you are over 45 kg. People say Noot is fat, she is 47kgs.

A mates New House, Thailand.

Today I visited my mate John. His new house is 99.99% finished and this is the view from the road.

This is his house. He calls it a bungalow; it has three bedrooms, two bathrooms, lounge, dining room and a kitchen which is really flash.
This is the right hand side garden.
This is the left side.
All around the house has been tiled and a drainage system has been placed under the shingle. It’s all very neat.

This is a ripper of a ‘tea hut’; you can have a drink or something to eat underneath the thatched roof and keep out of the hot sun. This beauty with a drink stand to keep all the drinks on cost 3,000 Thai Baht or $90 Australian dollars.
This is John’s fishpond.
A petrified tree he found nearby, at a nursery.
This is what he calls his “bollock” tree. He had to search many nurseries before he found the right one.
This is another interesting little tree. This is the main feature just before you enter the house.
These solid seats are heavy and beautiful.

Inside he has bushes and trees everywhere as well. This is a cactus. I love cacti, my favourite plant.

John is so happy living here that he bought a block of land 4 blocks down. This is him and Keith on the newly leveled land.
The happy new owner of more land.
This is his next door neigbour’s fence. The elephants are magic and are a feature along the wall.
Some more elephants on the fence.

So that was a trip to my mates place, he is really happy now that the job is so close to being completed, just a few small things to be done. The ride for him has been bumpy and frustrating but he has survived. Building a house in Thailand is nothing like back home, not even close.
