Thai school sport day dancing, Isaan Thailand.

I have reported on our school’s sport day. You can read the other blogs and see the pictures here, here, here and here. And here are some more pictures before the actual sports started to be played.

Each colour team put on a show extravaganza, they are judged on this and the best team wins a really big trophy. This is very serious and some of the team members had been practicing for 6 or more weeks.
Thai dancing
Here some girls are doing a traditional Thai dance. They looked stunning in their outfits and also moved very graciously.
Tae Kwon Do
It didn’t take long for things to go upbeat. Here the music was pumping and some students doing a tae kwon do exhibition.
Hula hoop girls
There were even some hula hop girls; they made it look so easy.
Amazing choreography
Here team red pulls off a huge move. They lift a tiny student into the air. It was riveting stuff, I am not being facetious.
Superstar singers
Four singers then took centre stage to knock out a lip synced song.
An angel and a beauty
In the background an angel danced and sang along.
Five Thai dancers
These five girls danced beautifully for the judges.
Superstars of red team
Two more stars or team red.
Team black cheer
This was my team; black was the dark devil, or dark davil depending on which sign you read.
Thai wai
Here a young Thai girl dressed in stunning Thai silk greets me with a Thai wai.
Team black cheering
The cheering got underway. The drum beats started and the hand clapping and cheers were belted out, again and again.
Team white leaders
Team white then got ready to rouse their team into frenzy. On their shirts if you look closely at the bottom you see the letters (ve lo), I think lo should have been on the left and ve or the right to make ‘love’. But again I could be wrong.

I will finally put a few pictures of sports being played on the blog over the next few days, yes, some sports were played.
