Sunrise and sunset on the Mekong River, Thailand.

Thailand longboat on the Mekong
This is a typical Thai longboat that the fishermen use from the village. Simple boats, they do the job well.
Tadpoles on the Mekong
These small tadpoles are toads. They are becoming prolific here in Thailand and there have been many instances where people have gathered tadpoles or toads to makes sauces and people have ended up very ill from them.
small pool of water and tadpoles
There are little pools of water everywhere full of tadpoles. I don’t know if they are all toads but Tor said they were.
Sunset
The day was coming to an end; the sun was setting over the mountain ridge.

Waiting for sunrise
I was up early to watch the sunrise as in Ubon Ratchathani it isn’t such a beautiful sight. Upstream on the Mekong.

Waiting for the sun to come up over the mountain in Laos.

Man's best friend and a sunrise
Enjoying the sunrise with man’s best friend. I have no idea whose dog it is but she was very friendly and hung around for a good hour.
Khun Da working.
Khun Da up early and sweeping the soil under the stilt house.

Isaan Village life at its best. Simple and as it should be.
