Well things here at the moment are being spent marking exam papers and completing paperwork to hand into Administration. This is the horrible part of teaching.
I have timed how long it takes to mark one exam, for a good student it takes around 8 minutes, for a poor student it takes from 12-15 minutes depending on the amount of mistakes.
So when you do the maths and work out on average of say 10 minutes per exam you are sitting down for around 19 hours just circling and writing in correct answers.
Then the tedious task of paperwork which for some reason is stupidly duplicated so many times over has to be completed. I haven’t had time to read blogs or do much else but in a few days I will have 9 weeks all to myself and the golf course, so it isn’t so bad.
Holidays are just around the corner and I can smell the sweet sea air and se the lush green golf courses. 11 weeks paid holiday a year isn’t such a bad deal after all, is it?
