Hi guys.
This is a link to a friend’s blog. He lives in Taiwan and has some really good pictures on some of the destruction from around his neigbourhood caused by typhoon Krosa.
There are trees that have been twisted and torn apart and also street signs flattened. Have a look as the pictures are great.
The Bushman in Taiwan. Typhoon Krosa pictures.
He has also just posted a video as well and can download and watch that here. If you don’t have a quick internet connection it will take a little while to download but it’s worth seeing. As he said in all the time he has lived there in Taiwan he had never seen anything like this and he has seen a few typhoons.
Video here. The Bushman. Krosa video.
Brunty.
Travel to Isaan to see Thailand as it should be. Simple life, genuine people and the most unspoiled area of Thailand. Isaan encompasses these cities and more: Ubon Ratchathani, Sisaket, Mukdahan, Udonthani, Khon Kaen, Roi-Et, Yasothan.. I bring humorous stories, notes, and photos to Isaan Style as a teacher living in Isaan.

Brunty, thanks for the blog post. i appreciate it very much.
this past weekend was hell.... my wife was so scared. we kept hearing ominous bangs and crashes. looking out the window we saw neighborhood signs that we know all to well, blowing down the street, slamming into parked cars and other buildings. things are just about back to normal. the Taiwan government estimates the cost of typhoon Krosa at NT$800,000,000. much of our fresh vegetable crop was destroyed for this season.
take care.
Hey MJ.
Yes, seeing the pictures of the trees bent and snapped showed the force of the wind and then watching the video was the same as well.
The rain going sideways and the wind howling was captured well.
I am glad that you weren't injured and that you didn't have any damage to your place.
