Thailand. Show Spectacular. How Ubon Ratchathani was Founded.

The main show for the night was about who and how Ubon Ratchathani was founded. The show is about the wars the happened in the early 1700’s and carried through until the late 1700’s.

The show was called Ubon Enlightenment. The man who founded Ubon Ratchathani was a man called Chao Khumpong. I haven’t researched a thing on him as of at this time but will do some on the weekend. All I know is what is written in the programme and what I saw in the show. The man was born in 1709 and died (or dead as they wrote in the programme) in 1795. So I think he had a pretty good life for back in those days.

The show was very entertaining and there was plenty of action and it moved along very quickly. It was great seeing some of the really old style Thai outfits of many years ago.

There were plenty of fighting scenes obviously depicting wars and then the emergence of new kings

Chao Khumpong.

All up the show was very enjoying and I am glad I went to see. Would I return for another viewing? No, once was enough for this show.
