The monk leads chants which are usually about the 8 precepts of being a good Buddhist and the people repeat his words. Sometimes you see all the people touching each other while a person pours water from a cup into a bowl and this is done while the monk is saying a vow/prayer. This is meant to be creating holy water and the people all touching the person who is pouring the water is also receiving the goodness as well and this is creating something like a prayer line and all the good is passed through each person who is connected. You see this happen a lot during ceremonies.
We then went outside to the “bord” which is like a small temple. They use this when a new monk enters into monk hood and this is where they shave his head and also it’s used for ceremonies like last night.
We went into the “bord” and light our offerings to Buddha and lent them against the wall. You say a vow to Buddha and then we left the temple.

This is a brief outline and their is a lot more involved but I really don't want to bore you with all the details. I want you to come back and read other posts.
I took video of the ladies chanting. It's a minute long and is a little dark as the temple is badly light. The sound is 80% but still sounds okay as I shot it from my digital camera.
