It doesn’t affect Isaan as it is so peaceful here and the level of crime is miniscule compared to our Southern neighbors. It’s so sad that the international community don’t really seem to care and also the Thai government as well.
So many innocent young people are dying by these terrorists in the south. The Thais and Muslims really need to work this out and stop killing 2 and 8 year old children.
4 people died in a bomb blast in Thailand’s restive south and 2 of the victims are from above 2 and 8 year old girls. Now the death toll for this stupid fight is 2,200 plus people. It wouldn’t worry me so much if it was political targets they were attacking but innocent kids and people is inexcusable.
I know that this is happening all throughout the world and isn’t an isolated incident, it’s just happening in the beautiful country I am calling home at the moment and I personally believe not enough is being done.
I know for sure if this situation was happening in Australia even the useless government at this time (Mr. John Howard and his liberal cronies) would be able to put a stop to it.
Hopefully the new elections brings a new government and also new hope for the southern Thais and Muslims but sadly this is still months away. Brunty.
