Diarrhea in Thailand

Sorry I know it's not a nice topic and something that I don't want to talk about really but the bad news is I am going too, briefly.

I am heading on holidays tomorrow and I cannot believe it as I have come down with a terrible bout of diarrhea (and my girlfriend as well). I have not had diarrhea for a long time. I have done nothing different today and the only place that we got our lunch from we always use and it's a good clean shop (they are very hard to find sometimes).

I have eaten from this shop 100's of times over the last few years and it is very popular with the Thai people, there is always a line up waiting to order food. It can't be the food (anything is possible).

About an hour after eating brunch I started having stomach rumbles and then not long after the diarrhea started and has been a constant companion all day. I am happy that it is happening today and not tomorrow because at least I can deal with it in the comfort of my own home and not having to worry about trying to find toilets and running to toilets that are filthy and not for human use (there are many of these in some parts of Thailand).

I am not feeling sick so hopefully tomorrow will be a new day and I will be back to normal otherwise I will be off to the chemist early tomorrow for some miracle powder to plug the problem up. It's no point going to a doctor as it would be a 30 second visit and a prescription for some tablets.

Well here's to a new day tomorrow. (hopefully)
